Mission: Episode 2 - Whispers in the Clouds
Location: Engineering
Timeline: Day 2 - 0730

Jocelyn walked into engineering, the box under her arm and the stun baton tapping her thigh with each step. She observed the controlled chaos, memorizing how each parson interacted before stopping a passing engineer, "Warrant Officer T'Vei?" The engineer pointed her to a corner occupied by a console and one person. She quickly moved to that corner, "T'Vei? The Captain asked me to have you look at this," she opened the box and placed it on the console.

"Yes. You are Lieutenant Westbridge?" she replied in her monotone, emotionless, voice. "The Commander sent me a message regarding your 'little project'. What is it you require?"

"Double check the calibrations on the pre-fire chambers and the focusing chamber," Jocelyn pulled the pistol from its case and removed the slide cover. She then released the magnetic locks on the casing, splitting the pistol in half and revealing a complex mesh of control boards and power relays; all connecting to two high power capacitors and a miniaturized focusing chamber. "Also, if you have the time, I need some assistance testing it and aligning the targeting."

"The pre-fire and focusing chamber calibrations should only take a few hours. They will both need to be calibrated to within a few microns. As for the time with testing it, it would be most fascinating. The Chief Engineer has already given me ample time between duty shifts, I shall endeavour to do a majority of the work during those times as I do not want this to impact upon my performance. Is this to your satisfaction?" T'Vei merely raised an eyebrow awaiting the officers response. Despite her emotionless exterior she was quite fascinated with this concept. She always enjoyed taking weapon systems apart. The challenge of putting complex things back together was always a passion of hers.

"That is acceptable. Please inform me when you have completed the calibrations and are free to assist me in testing the pistol." Jocelyn paused for dramatic effect, "I have several messages send to some…friends of mine."

"Very well Lieutenant." Her Vulcan demeanour straight to the point as usual.

Jocelyn tilted her head slightly in acknowledgment before turning on her heel and leaving engineering. [i]This is going to be interesting.[/i]
