Settling In

Mission: Episode 3 - Winds of Change
Location: USS Unification, Marine Facilities
Timeline: Following Arrival of USS Unification at New Bajor Colony

Anna stood at the raised desk as she read another report, the technician had seemed a little confused when he arrived to the Marine Officer complaining about her desk. After having to explain it several times, he finally was able to raise the desk to a standing height as opposed to sitting. She preferred it, she hatted paper work and sitting at a desk even more. She quickly signed off on the PADD and slide it to another pile.

She turned as the doors open and she saw the first familiar face in days First Lieutenant Cain Erell, the tall muscular Bajoran smiled as he approached. Erell once a short lived romantic companion, and now a close friend of Anna's, she was happy her request for him had been approved. "Ma'am." He said with a small smirk.

"How is my new Training Officer this fine morning?" She asked turning to the desk for a moment to grab a PADD before heading for the door. The tall man easily fell into step beside her.

"Can't complain, I was down on the planet, almost felt homey." He replied, "but I much rather get to work. Do we know our initial compliment?"

"42, final will be about 76. So we'll be a bit short handed." She restored as the pair entering one of the training facilities.

"Wouldn't have it any other way." He grinned as he watched a petite Andorian marine thrown a Klingon three times her size over her shoulder and down onto the training mats.

"Good, I'm going to grab some rack time, until the Deputy Commander arrives you're my 2iC. Keep any eye on things Lieutenant." She said turning on her heel.

"Yes Ma'am," His voice boomed in response, Anna already at the doors, a smile creeping across her icy features. She was going to like this ship.
