| Personal History | Stig was adopted, or at least that's how the story goes, which might explain how he got his name. According to his records he was born in South America, though he lacks any sort of an accent or memory of that, to the best of his knowledge he grew up in Skondal, Sweden just a few kilometers South of Stockholm on Earth. As the shortest, least-blond kid in school he definitely stood out, but he was wise enough to develop a decent enough personality to make a few friends. At 16 he finished primary schooling, packed up, and moved to North America, stopping first in Vancouver, Canada where he attended some community college. After receiving a very general associates degree in "math" he realized that there wasn't that big of a difference between Stockholm and Vancouver, despite them being on opposite sides of the planet. So, he decided to join in Starfleet to get even further from home. Not wanting to wait another four years to leave, he enlisted an en engineering crewman. In his year of basic training he managed to catch the attention of Starfleet Intelligence, likely due to his higher test scores, proficiency in combat training, and natural leadership abilities, and was slated for an extra year of training after being recruited by them. He almost turned the position down, not looking for another year on Earth, but he signed right there when they promised it would be several hundred lightyears away. When his training was finished Stig became an infiltration specialist, a position which he still serves in today. A Commanding Officer he hated less than all the others talked him into taking a year off for Officer Training school which allowed his promotion to Warrant Officer, a decision he has been particularly happy with since it has granted him, in general, greater autonomy and a larger team size when needed. Currently, he specialized in covert infiltration, espionage and counter-espionage, and selective target neutralization. All of these things a far cry from an engineering crewman from Earth. |
