Personal History Abi was born on Earth. Thompson, Minnesota to be exact. People visited Thompson to hike, raft, camp, and fish. Her parents owned the only bar in town. After rafting, hunting, or fishing they went there to drink. Abi loved being there. She was a socialite and a clown. She was also a good student and her teacher thought her a good scientist when they could get her to shut up long enough to build a hybrid or study a genome. She was a natural. She refused to leave home, thankfully there was a state university with a good pre-med program in Duluth not too far away. She volunteered at the university hospital when she was not studying or working at the bar. She loved taking care of sick people as much as she liked taking care of drunk people. That drove her to medical school. She was a gifted medical student, and excelled in her family practice residency. One of her proffesors told her that he had submitted her name for a second residency in psychiatry with Star Fleet medical. It was a special program working with veterans of the Dominion Wars who were still struggling with PTSD. Again, she excelled. Her patients loved her and were very responsive. Her supervisor during the residency recruited her right out of the staff break room one of his academy buddies was about to get his own ship needed a CMO. Her career took her 15 miles from home, 1500 miles from home, now what 15000 light years from home? Her parents were overjoyed, her childhood friends were overjoyed. Why not! She completed her officer candidate school while the finishing touches were being put on the Unification.
